Once you are picked up at your hotel, you can get ready for this Seoul adventure. The first stop will lead to the Coex Aquarium, which boasts more than 40,000 fish of 500 species and dozens of large sharks. You will then take a 1-hour Han River cruise, which will let you observe the city from the water, taking you through the capital from east to west. The river is crossed by 23 bridges and divides Seoul to Gangnam in the south, Gangbuk to the north, Gangsol in the west and Gangdong to the east. The cruise will be replaced with a visit to Trick Eye Museum on inclement weather.
Afterward, pay a visit to an Amethyst factory, followed by a visit to the Bongunsa Temple which dates back to 794, the period of King Wonseong of the Silla Kingdong. Its Sutra Hall prides with a commemorative wooden tablet inscribed by the nation’s most-celebrated calligrapher, Chusa (pen name) Kim Jeong-hui (1786-1856) and preserves woodblocks for 15 Buddhist sutras, including the Diamond Sutra.
