Your tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Seoul at 8am. Drive towards Ganghwa Island, which takes approximately 1.5 hours before arriving at'Seongmodo Island,'located west of'Ganghwa Island.
Enjoy sightseeing at Seongmodo. You can go hiking, rent a bicycle, feed seagulls or enjoy a picnic. After about 1.5 hours, head to'Bomunsa Temple, one of the best sites to visit in Seongmodo Island. Enjoy the beautiful scenery from this serene temple. See a 600-year-old Chinese juniper tree and a small Buddhist temple that was built inside a natural cave. At around 1pm, enjoy'a traditional lunch at a local eatery in the hall of Bomunsa Temple. Try some of the popular dishes'such as sanchae bibimbap (mountain vegetable bibimbap), pancake and fried shrimp.
After lunch, head to Ganghwa Island, to'Bugeun-ri Dolmen, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dolmens are stone graves tombs were used as as grave markers back in the pre-historic era. Finally, head'to the Ganghwa Peace Observatory, located at the border between North and South Korea. Observe'North Korea from a telescope and learn about the Korean war at the exhibition hall. At around 4:30pm, you will start heading back to Seoul, which takes approximately 1.5 hours.
